Middlesbrough Library: Exhibition and Lecture

Here's news of two exciting events which will be at the Middlesbrough Central Library over the next week or so.

First, an exhibition:

''We're delighted to have been chosen to present a groundbreaking exhibition, 'South Asians Making Britain, 1858-1950'. The exhibition was co-curated by the British Library and the Making Britain research team and is coordinated and supported by The Open University and The British Library. The exhibition opens at Middlesbrough Central Library on Tuesday 18th October 2011. Free entry, all welcome.''

As a compliment to the exhibition, there is also going to be a lecture:

''Rehana Ahmed, co-curator of the South Asians Making Britain, 1858-1950 exhibition and Lecturer in English at Teesside University, will give a lecture at Middlesbrough Library on 25 October at 7.00pm. Entrance is free and is open to all.''

More details are available on the event's Facebook page.
